We typically have our students all day long. The upside is we get to know our students super well. The downside is sometimes that can leave us struggling to consolidate what we want to share during parent teacher conferences or on report cards.

I’ve come up with some great ideas for teachers who are looking for meaningful report card comment ideas. This article is full of general positive report card comments that can be used year to year.

Instead of focusing on academics, these comments focus on social development, growth mindset and emotional development. These are the areas that parents are truly concerned about in their hearts. You spend just as much time with their kid as they do. That makes you the perfect person to have a heart-to-heart with them about the areas that will have a real impact on the students’ lives!
