Benefits of Daily Agenda Slides
When you’re teaching a classroom full of unpredictable children, you’re bound to get sidetracked here and there! For example, once I was completely thrown off when one of my students swallowed a feather … and he was NOT happy about it! We were doing an activity where they were supposed to use a straw to blow the feathers around, but he decided to suck in through the straw instead. He literally swallowed the feather whole. Needless to say, it was distracting.
When you begin using daily slides, it will help you to stay on track no matter what your day throws at you!
How to Get Started with Daily Agenda Slides
The first thing you’ll need to do is create a slide for each event in your daily agenda – reading, writing, math, special, recess, etc. The great thing about using daily slides, is that once you create this template, the slides typically stay the same week to week. You’ll need to add specifics for that day, but the slides will mostly already be there. For example, if you introduce a quote each week, your template will already have an area to type the quote. Each Monday you simply change out the quote and you’re good to go!
